It's non VR non af it's a joke I really need to contact the company I purchased the bundle from but I'm sure it was listed that way and I was ignorant and excited to buy a new camera

Good luck with getting an answer. I sent a private message and public post on this, neither were answered. Nikon make two versions currently of the 70-300 mm lens. One is excellent, the f/4.5-5.6 model, and the other, which is much cheaper, the f/4 -5.6 model. He has not indicated which model is for sale. The former goes for almost $600 new, the latter for around $150.

I'm on fredmirand.com as well and he is on there frequently. However, I don't know him or which lens he is selling. I have the 70-300 f4.5-5.6 AF-S G VR lens, which is going all day long used for $300 to $375. Just saying....... I have mine listed on ebay now, but am still willing to sell on here. It is a tack sharp lens. Not trying to steal this thread, but the OP has not responded to some questions.

Just bought a Nikon 70-200mm f/4 so I will have to wait until I make my next purchase. I was considering the other as a gift. His loss, but it does make me wonder what his deal was.....
