That's for sure!!! A great man who really believed in this country.
A great entertainment link to save. . . I think!
Have a retired pilot friend who flew the Duke and wife around when he was still making movies. He said they were both teriffic people, that JW had a wonderful sense of humor, and that his wife Pilar, was one of the nicest ladies he ever met.
Very impressive tribute to our great country
Well done. I have seen it before but love it each time I see it.
God Bless our great country, America.

A years-ago John Wayne fan, I've had to step back and view him from a distance while reconsidering his status: whether an American patriot or a despicable WWII draft-dodger.
http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/1055/was-john-wayne-a-draft-dodger"In 1944, Wayne received a 2-A classification, "deferred in support of [the] national
interest." A month later the Selective Service decided to revoke many previous deferments and reclassified him 1-A. But Wayne's studio appealed and got his 2-A status reinstated until after the war ended.
People who knew Wayne say he felt bad about not having served. During the War (WWII) he'd even gotten into a few fights with servicemen who wondered why he wasn't in uniform. Some think his guilty conscience was one reason he became such a superpatriot later. The fact remains that the man who came to symbolize American patriotism and pride had a chance to do more than just act the part, and he let it pass."
Regardless of your conclusion, Wayne never served in the military, as did many other movie stars whose patriotism overrode their movie star ambitions.
Ho hum..........Looks like you are advertising videos for sale?
So many greats from the past that can't be replaced.
Well thank you Jackel  , I hope you feel better now.

The Duke, one of America's greatest American actors. Don't think he ever said a bad word about our great country. He may never have served in our Armed Services but he sure put a lot of great feelings into the hearts of our citizens. And who knows how many heroes he helped to develop throughout his lifetime. Mahalo Duke for your believes.
