There are lies and inconvenient truths, both equally unwelcome and disdained... results in the old saying "don't shoot the messenger"

Tell me avid FOX watcher, how would you know? A very good friend of mine, with whom I avoid political conversations with to keep it that way, who does not watch any broadcast television and does not have cable into the house or even an antenna, has the very same enthusiastic knee jerk opinion of FOX... Apparently he gets his opinion from the same place you do.

Don't think that you can make the comparison with Fox, this was a bald faced lie based on his own personal experience, something similar to the lie Clinton told about her time over in Afghanistan.

Lies are lies, no matter how they come about. The news industries of today are more about 'making news' than reporting it. If it isn't 'attractive' enough, they embellish it. Then they tell it in a voice that suggests the world is coming to an end. NONE of them are unbiased because to be unbiased means 'boredom' and lord knows they can't have that as their ratings would plummet.

Take all they say with a grain-or more-of salt.

Yes, they push managements politics, possibly good marketing at done at the cost of their perceived credibility, I agree with you on this point more than you know. But!, I challenge you to find a really significant lie on Fox News that was not corrected, I would also caution you to not confuse Hannity, O'Reilly and other opinion people with the news division. I have read those fact checkers and almost all are challenging things said on opinion shows or the statements made by contributors, rarely is a Fox News division story challenged.

I do not accept your statement beyond the fact that Fox pushes a political angle so strongly throughout the day that it becomes borderline sickening for thinking conservatives, and I am sure that it becomes repulsive for liberals.... They are hardly any different than most cable news stations. I usually start my mornings with "Morning Joe" and if I am at home and the TV runs much beyond that there comes a point where I have to change the station because I can not abide by their political agenda and the outright biased reporting. I am sure that liberals view much of Fox's reporting the same.
Yes, they push managements politics, possibly good... (show quote)

Sounds like the blind leading the blind! Only the alternative media has much more truth, that can be fact checked. Remember when they rigged a chevy truck gas tank to blow.and got caught? Go on listening to Liers, liers, liers see ya it all comes crumbling down.

I don't know about T. Boone Pickens, but the Koch Bros. are Libertarians, so you can't lump them up with the average Conservative. BTW, the Koch Bros are HUGE contributors to PBS programing.

They also donate to democrats, Dems love to insulate themselves in lies and will outright refuse to look for and or will deny the truth, to them the Kochs will always be a danger to liberty and freedom, yet the Styers and Soros on the other hand......

Just more liberal nonsense.... Funny how you guys will piss all over your cheerios whenever Fox News is brought up.... Problem is that you fools just want to be lead down the road to oppression and don't care to hear the truth of what is actually going on in our country.

Their exploding trucks story did it for me decades ago. Seems to be a legacy of lies and liars in that organization.

Hard to understand why a TV "news" organization would fabricate a sensational story? They all do it and sometimes they get caught. They do it for the express purpose of improving ratings, i.e., making money. TV "news" is a revenue generator. More money comes with higher ratings. Higher ratings come from sensational stories.

You have a good point! Proven fact in psychology is that even if 2 people are watching a situation, they will see that situation with their biased minds! This may provide two conflicting stories!

Bottom line! You would hope that when reporting news they, news announcers, would stick to, as Jack Webb would always say, "just the facts Mam!"

I don't pay much attention to national news reports for just that reason! All national news reporting should be scutinized and evaluated!
