Brian Williams caught wholly fabricating a story.

Their exploding trucks story did it for me decades ago. Seems to be a legacy of lies and liars in that organization.

Don't think that you can make the comparison with Fox, this was a bald faced lie based on his own personal experience, something similar to the lie Clinton told about her time over in Afghanistan.

Didn't Hillary talk about being under fire while landing in Bosnia ? Only to have to back down off the story later ... at least she did not wait 12 years. She was outed within days.

Yeah, Fox only makes up stories about other people.

This was a fabrication about William's personal self aggrandizement.

You may find mistakes on Fox, you can easily find some exaggerations on Fox that include a political slant, but you will not find out right lies as we have seen in this story.

Maybe Williams did not want to be outdone by Hillary, she too said that her helicopter had taken fire in Afghanistan, her statements were totally discredited, she too lied to make herself look a heroine.

"Mistakes?" C'mon, blurry, you're a whole lot smarter than that. You're being totally disingenuous to call what Fox does "mistakes." Their favorite tactic is to push some stupid right wing crap with the line "some people say". Every fact check organization in the known universe has called then out again and again on their "mistakes." The difference with them is that when caught in a mistake, they refuse to correct it like other news organizations do. They either just continue "mistaking" or blame it on liberals. Yes, they recently did admit to being wrong, but that caused a ripple in the time/space continuum because it had never happened before.

Yes, they push managements politics, possibly good marketing at done at the cost of their perceived credibility, I agree with you on this point more than you know. But!, I challenge you to find a really significant lie on Fox News that was not corrected, I would also caution you to not confuse Hannity, O'Reilly and other opinion people with the news division. I have read those fact checkers and almost all are challenging things said on opinion shows or the statements made by contributors, rarely is a Fox News division story challenged.

I do not accept your statement beyond the fact that Fox pushes a political angle so strongly throughout the day that it becomes borderline sickening for thinking conservatives, and I am sure that it becomes repulsive for liberals.... They are hardly any different than most cable news stations. I usually start my mornings with "Morning Joe" and if I am at home and the TV runs much beyond that there comes a point where I have to change the station because I can not abide by their political agenda and the outright biased reporting. I am sure that liberals view much of Fox's reporting the same.

All of the news channels have a specific format and bias that they stick to if they think it's successful. You've got Obama Brown-Nosers and you've got Fox. Apparently Fox's format and bias is quite successful. I heard that their viewership is equivalent to all other news channels combined, they are profitable and growing while all the others are scrambling to stay alive, etc.

I don't have time to watch cable news channels currently but when I did it was always Fox because they were factual although their bias was obvious - but also because blonde, beautiful, extremely smart chicks who have to insure their perfect legs that are prominently displayed with the high stools they're surely intentionally place on are hot. Megan Kelly could put a leash on me and tie me to her desk anytime while spewing Conservative bias and tearing up big mouth Liberal parrots in her unique way!

Does anybody remember that Dan Rather did some news reports in front of a screen of war action in Vietnam to look like he was there but he actually wasn't?

NBC seems to have a chronic problem with truth as illustrated by their poorly edited version of the Treyvon Martin incident. They really got the racist ball rolling with their out of context, inflammatory editing of the story. The press apparently has forgotten why we have the First Amendment. Many of them fit into the category of Novelists rather than Journalists.
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/07/14/zimmerman-trayvon-martin-nbc-news-column-rieder/2516251/

We have always watched NBC and FOX because we wanted to get all sides of the news, but I think that Brian William's credibility has diminished in the public's opinion and we will find other news programs and hope that they are truly journalists.

LOL "One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter." One man's lie is another man's truth. HELP!!!!
One man's fact is another man's opinion. It all comes down to which side of the street one stands and which side of the animal one sees coming down it. HELP!!!!!!
