Is this a good (albeit artsy) photograph or does it need trashed? My wife and I have opposing opinions. What is yours please and why? Thanks.

I don't care for it. Seems muddy and requires close inspection to figure out what it's about. Please note, this is an emotional reaction to the image, not a critique of technique, etc.

That's a little harsh. I think the snow gives it a unique effect. I kind of like it.

I don't think it's much the way it is but if your cropped it here and there and spent some time with it in p/p it will improve. But then is it worth the time?

Not so good.
Needs to be closer view of the geese. Way too much foreground.
Needs a stop or two more exposure.
Might benefit from a little contrast boost and a touch of color enhancement. Have to try these and judge if it helps or not.

If it's a picture of geese in a harvested field you could really stretch and call it art if not it's junk

Try Cropping it down into a letterbox (Thin Rectangle at least 4x wider than high ) to include all geese and a bit of foreground and background (1 - 2 inch of both) Then take off left hand third.

Keep it as a letterbox print - don't resize it. Mount on white card a third from top and see how you like it then.

That way it will make a statement (other than not close enough).

You might want to bring those trees a little darker so that they have a bit more definition - or not.

I would not fly in that weather either. Croping a story might work, spend some time and see what individual shots you have that are "buried" in this. Currently your title is "Snowstorm". Find the better story, crop it, and print the expanded shot. Ask you wife for advice on this. Did she take this shot, or is it your handiwork? GL

Pardon me for asking but is the snow added in...snow comes in different sizes larger closer to the lens...the snow looks too uniform.

Maybe if there was more contrast that might help.
