Where to get my film negatives developed?

I started going through the last 17 years of my kid's child photos so I can get them organized and print the ones I want that were never printed. Everything up to around 2004 was film negatives . I even came across a floppy disk that had my picture files on it from walmart ! It doesn't have the negatives to go with it (misplaced) so I need to get that converted to a CD also so those can be edited and/or printed as well.

Last year Costco offered a service where you could drop off the film negatives and they would put the images on a CD (but not be able to print straight off the negative) . They don't offer it any more. I don't know who does.
Thanks so much. I am hoping that if film cameras are still so popular and I'm sure not e EVeryone has their own dark room to develop their own film , there has to be places to send mine, still. (?)

Some Costco stores still develop film.

There are 5 or so Costcos within easy driving distance of me (North Orange County California). Three still develop film (as of about a month ago).

One of the 5 was developing film until their machine broke. They removed it. One is a new store, and they never installed a film developing machine.

However, since Costco seems to not be willing to fix machines that break (at least, not in every store), I call ahead to be sure the store I plan to visit still develops.

By the way, they do not do B&W (unless it is C41 type) and I think they only do 35mm. Also, they will print from negs and/or scan the images onto a CD. Good luck.

Most of the major drugstore chains offer film processing services with image scan to CD - RiteAid, Wallgreens, CVS, etc. Just stop in and talk to them.

If you're looking for high resolution scans, then you may need to look in the Yellow Pages phone book for a dedicated lab or camera shop to help you.

You have the negatives so I think you mean enlarge or print the negatives not develop film. If you have a photoshop near where you live they should know the answer.

If your negative are already cut into strips I don't believe a drugstore like CVS is not going to be able to help you.

There is a very good camera shop in Southampton, PA called New York Camera and Video. They are one of the few remaining complete camera shops left in the area and the guys there are extremely knowledgeable. 1139 Street Road | Southampton, PA 18966 Call Today: 215-357-6222
Mon-Fri 10–7 | Sat 10–5 | Sun 12–5. I don't know what area you are in, but these were my go to people if I needed it fast when I lived in PA. Adorama also does processing but I think they are out of the film business.

If NYCV doesn't or can't do it, the guys probably know who in the country (or your area) does do it. They have a website you can visit also ... Sorry, this wasn't intended to be an ad for them but I always recommend them for off the wall requests. They bailed a guy in Alaska out by being able to CORRECTLY transfer old images from negatives (after some other vender had scratched some in attempting to do this) to digital and repairing some of the damage. They aren't cheap but they are good.

If you can't find anyone to do it, I still develop B&W negs in my Darkroom, 35mm and the older 2 1/2 x 3 1/2.

Well it looks like just buying my own negative and slide scanner would be a more affordable option give me more control over the pictures without waiting on a disc to arrive in the mail that I will only throw away after editing them in LR .
I had no idea we could scan them at home ourselves ! :) im thinking of getting one of these that are $139 or above . Unless the 99 one is really good enough I might consider it.
