They are both good! I would try toning the B&W sepia and see if it doesn't make it look like it was taken back in the 1800's.
As far as "best", the color shot is in the lead until you sepia tone the B&W.

Thank you all for your comments and suggestions. I ended up taking the B/W an got a second place. The print does not have the blowen out look as in the image shown on the hog. Again thank you all, hope to win next months club contest. Subject for next month-still life.

A novel approach, find out what everyone likes and then enter the other one. Good job! Do you think you might have gotten 1st place if you had entered the color shot?? :lol: :lol: :thumbup:

I really like #1 the best, I would buy or make a large frame with old barn wood, print this out and hang it on my wall. Where is this located?

I prefer the color version. Reminded me of a shot I made last year at Capilano in BC Canada.

Worked on the B/W, contrast and brightness, took 1st place at the annual contests for the 2 photo clubs I belong to. Thank you all for your cc and help. :D :D :thumbup: :thumbup:

Good Work .... the front is a little washed out where the color carried the color and contrast. But you got 1st place and that is what counts, Cheers!!!
