Here we are- out last day in Laos. Another wonderful breakfast at a beautiful hotel and back on the bus to a small village. They take tourists here regularly so they are ready for us. The guide said the only English many of them know is their sales pitch "only one dollar" they have beautiful hand made articles for sale that each took days to make--so cheap by our standards
they live very modesty but seemed very happy
there was a walkway for us to follow and they had shops set up along it
little girls in beautiful handmade outfits were along the walkway-if we took their photo it was expected to give them a dollar
there were many children in the village just playing--I gave many of them dollars too
then back to the hotel I took this out the bathroom window--they said if you touch this plant it will make you very itchy
from the bus we noticed this farm about 1/2 mile from the hotel so my cousins and I had time to walk over there
everyone seemed to have a job
we motioned for the little girl to come over by us [we didn't want to walk in the mud] and gave her a couple of dollars-she was very happy
then it was back into town for lunch and some time to walk the streets again
Looks like you had a good trip wonderful pics love 3 and 5 girl boy colors are great.

Just saw your series this evening and what a wonderful trip. I enjoyed seeing it through your eyes. You have a wonderful eye for composition and seeing an image amongst all the clutter. Well done! I appreciate you sharing these.Laos is not a country I ever thought to visit...You have made me reconsider.
