I agree.
WE have some great people on here to help us get better.
Welcome to the Hog. You'll get lots of help here if you ask questions.
I like your images but I think the first one is way too dark. Not sure what you were going for??? I'm heavy into doing "grunge" photos and this would be an excellent background for it if lighter.
yeah it looked lighter when I was doing it in photoshop, translated a little differently, I will definitely brighten it up a bit! Thanks!

Seriously though - the folks here have lots of good advice and a couple of days of experience and are willing share what they can - don't hesitate to ask detailed questions, in fact, the more details, the more accurate the answer ;)
A couple of links to help you
navigate the forum and some
resources to hopefully answer your questions or guide you in your quest...
#1 looks a little lighter in download, very lovely textures and tones.
Enjoyed the series and looking forward to more.
Note for uploading multiple photos: below your first photo will be an "add new attachment" link so you don't have to have your avatar show each time, and the photos will be closer together.

OK, you are very well on your way to becoming an excellent shooter. Some might say to lighten up the first shot, but i think you captured it exceedingly well. You captured the "mood." The second shot is perfect in B/W. Nice tones. The third shot, i would have used just a "skinch" more speed to get some tone in the flowing water.
