Lol...was out in 3 degree weather Saturday chasing Eagles...when I post them you can let me know if it was worth it ;-)

I had previously seen the red belly but only occasionally. It seems to be far less visible on most members of this species. Thanks for visiting and for your remark!

They are also "king of the hill" at my feeders...none of the other birds care to contest him with that extra large bill! Thanks for stopping by and for commenting!

My pics don't compare with the stunning pictures which you posted.
But they do show that red-bellieds in Missouri have red bellies also.
NOT our favorite bird as they have insisted on creating holes in the cedar siding of our home & plywood siding on outbuildings! We enjoy feeding birds, but....
