Batch converting negatives...

Folks, I have just completed scanning about 200k of 35mm stock and thought that it would revert them into positive thumbnails after processing. Well, that didn't happen. My global settings were not right. I am using a Plustek 7200 scanner and would like to know if there is a program to batch process inversions. Any help would be appreciated. Seeing them reversed is hard enough to choose images for enlargement. Thanks a bunches...

I'm just wondering that your scanner did not automatically turn the negatives into positives. But then I don't know your scanner.
On mine, all I have to do, is tell the software that I'm scanning negative film, and the scanner will do the rest.

As to the inversion and doing that in batches, I'm not aware of what software does or doesn't do that.
I have Photoshop Elements 12, and the process, although not automatic as a batch, would still be fairly fast, especially on a fast machine:
Open an image (or 10 or 15 - more than that would slow your machine down considerably), Press Ctrl + i , Save (Ctrl + s), next...
It will still be somewhat slow going, but a whole lot faster than re-scanning the lot.

Unless somebody comes up with a program that will batch invert, I think you're stuck doing them individually or rescanning. I have the 8200 and couldn't find any way to do what you're asking.

batch processing in photoshop?

if you have 200k actual slides, and are willing to pay even just 1 cent a negative to flip, thats $2k of script writing you can pay someone to do for you (in case its not a point/click option in ps).

just curious why you embarked on such a large project w/o doing a trial run first?

You should be able to use VueScan to do a batch conversion of your scanned digitized negatives. Here's a link to an Instructable that I wrote on how to do this:

You could make a Photoshop action to invert, and then run that as a batch.
