Your model appears to be a Springer Spaniel and Spaniels always make great models.. Nice shot !!!!

ediesaul, sorry I thought I checked the store box....I can tell you this ....the eyes are closed....that is the only reason I got the shot...thanks for looking and commenting

I can see that the curtain windows were open and they were thin enough that you could have closed them and have ambient light coming through and you would not have had to much background light. As a first attempt you should be proud that your subject of affection was uncooperative. If she/he is in the same spot, try closing the curtains ans repeat the experiment again.
