I spent 1.5 hr collimating my scope and I think I got it right.
Just finished Jupiter.

Nice clean shot Craig. That's one of your better shots. Well done.

Thank you Jim. I think it might be due to the fact I spent 1.5hr collimating the scope.
I wish I knew an easier, quicker and more accurate way than just Sighting a Star and making it round twisting my Bob's Knobs.

Bobs knobs really help. Prime focus or I'm guessing at least a Barlow.

You're getting good at those! I'm going to have to resurrect my own scope and try a few!

Nice shot of Jupiter Craig... did you use the 8" SCT scope? someday I'll have to try to shoot Jupiter but I'll probably have to go somewhere else to shoot it... too many trees in my yard... what ISO and shutter speed did you use?

Sorry Bruce, thanks for stopping by. It was shot at f/10 with the 8" 2000mm scope and ISO of 50 at 1/15 sec. this new one with the Moons is the same shot processed differently. I like to use my Topaz a lot.

Nice shots Craig... I like the Topaz program set too... I got the whole set on sale but had to pay $39 for Topaz Glow which wasn't a part of the original set... Topaz glow came out later and listed for about $79 regular retail but I got it on sale for about $39... I am still learning how to use it...

Below are a few links on what I have done to date using Topaz Glow... use the Download View for better detail and color...

Those are all very impressive Bruce and Glow is actually hard to work with but you seem to have a real handle on it. I've seen other stuff that's hideous.
