It has been said that Canon makes a camera and, coincindently lenses also; Nikon makes lenses and, conicidently a camera also. I'd say, starting with the D3 it make now be said that Nikon makes both camerass and lenses. Take your pick

I do believe that it is the person with their finger on the button and their knowledge that makes the picture, not the camera nor the software in their computer.
