Fedex man just dropped it off......yay!!!! Of course it's pitch black outside, lol. Can't wait to try it out.

Nice!!!! Can't wait to see the pictures. My next purchase will be this lens or the Tamron equivalent. Is this the sport or C version??? Is the C version out yet???

I had the Tamron version and I was pretty happy with it, but.......from what I have seen, this is better @ 600. That doesn't mean MY photos will be better though. :-)

It is heavy, but I'm pretty strong (I'm used to dealing with hay bales, hose feed, etc)

Thanks

it was a wonderful trip. Got home Sat night and the next day loaded 5000 photos into the computer! I know I will be deleting a BUNCH but not going to let myself even get started looking at them till after Christmas

I gifted myself the Tamron monster after I survived open heart surgery. At first I couldn't hold it, but it actually helped with recovery...getting stronger again. Now, no problem. Hand hold it all the time. I find that if I back up to 500 or so, I do get sharper pics. Enjoy! You will love it!

The proper use of the docking feature alone makes it a better lens .....

Lucky you. I'm still waiting for mine. I'm curious, who did you order your lens from?

I just ordered a Tamron 150-600mm lens. Expensive! Hope it works!! I live out in the country and we have lots of wildlife here that I want to capture ... deer, elk, coyotes, bobcats, bears...... Will it have to be on a tripod?
