Thank you Frodo for taking time to comment,
Sounds like you were there.
Craig

Just a tad too young, a constant obsession with war movies as a kid, and a lot of family who were there. Thanks again for great shots

Is the P8 a 737 in drag? A friend of mine was crew on an Orion P3 in Viet Nam.
Craig

Yes it is --- in fact it is the best of two different versions of the 737 put together to give the Navy a long range patrol aircraft with the range, endurance, weight/capacity limits needed for the mission.

Good shots, however, it is hard to concieve that those big planes just "touch" before going. It's more like a "plop" and go.

Thanks for taking a look at my work.
They don't actually put wheels on the runway the airport charges them a fortune if they do.

This is a C-130 Hercules Cargo Plane California Air Guard. Camera was set on Auto no flash. So settings are different for each shot.
We also get F-15 Eagle, UH-60 Black Hawk, AH-1 SuperCobra, P-3 Orion etc.
With my new Tamron SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD Lens I will be no the look-out for more military aircraft to photograph.
Nikon D600 w/Tamron SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD Lens

I'm sad that I'm not able to post pictures on here since we got our new computer, Craig. :( I've tried everything I can think of and just can't get pictures to post. We're leaving Sat. for Virginia, but when we get home I guess I'll have to take it to Staples.

Someone in Staples should be able to tell you how to set it up to Post on the Internet.
You may want to give the store a call first.
Our Staples does not have a setup to work in-store on electronics.

I've only walked through 1 as a tourist.
Flying in 1 sounds like a blast.
I understand it's a pretty nimble aircraft.
Someone I knew in High School was a crewman on 1 in Nam.
