LOL, yes they both looked great and playing ping pong on the pages doesn't help keeping organized either!

P8 Thanks DanL - yes beads and a glass ball in lower right. And just realized I posted the cups twice. Didn't get them into my "posted" folder - holidays are messin' with my head.

My first try failed miserably. Think I made them too big. Hope to try again before challenge ends.
My star is about 1/4 inch and not exactly centered. Size can be controlled somewhat by just how far out of focus you go. Don't forget to leave your aperture wide open.
Short of time so just the one bokeh then off to bed
Lots of great examples and this is only day 1

Larry the candle and holder is a wonderful photo. Love the way the candle seems to pick up the light coming from the background. It looks as though you focused on the candle for it seems to be in focus, yet the greenery in the front is a little soft. All in all it is a well composed and presented photo.

photophile, the second and third images are poetry for the eyes. I have to say the first image of the two is my pick. It's composition is well done, the dark background accentuates the white flowers. It looks like it was painted. Great job!

Excellent Pat. Thanks. Have to post a couple of recent past. We haven't had any sunshine in days now and it's been very foggy for the past few and don't know when it's going to lift.
Thank you Dan! Appreciate it very much!

Pg.2, excellence balance, color and bokeh effect.
In this photo the use of bokeh literally makes the doe "pop" right out of the photo.

Pg.6, Nice capture and bokeh also great color tones.
Thanks. Fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
I hope I am posting correctly to the current challenge for Bokeh shots. If not, maybe someone can direct me as to how to do it correctly.
Both shots were taken in my backyard from an open window with the screen removed. The sparrow was 80-100 feet away and shot at 300mm lens setting and heavily cropped (1/640 sec and f8 aperture). The bokeh was created by virtue of the long subject distance and the further distance of the background. The finch was much closer, but still using the long focal length while the background was relatively a distance back from the finch. I think the long focal length in each shot is primarily responsible for the bokeh in both shots, as each each shot at f8.

You're in the right place. I love your sparrow on the fence post. photo. I like how your background colors accent the bird.
