Created this photo of the Pleiades several nights ago from images taken a few months back, it is a combination of three images, one with an 8-inch f/3.9 reflector and the other two were taken with a 72mm f/6 Refractor. Total exposure time was 2 hours, taken on Aug. 22, Oct. 16, and Oct 24. Clouds etc kept cutting my exposures shorter than I had planned and that was the reason it was spread out over three days. Besides, I just wanted to see if I could combine three images with two totally different telescopes. It worked, lol. Comments, questions welcomed.
This is stunning! Clear, sharp and colorful. Very nice work.

Thank you, I appreciate you looking at my photo.
Excellent. Love the blue light that infuses the scene.

I really like the Nebulosity you were able to capture with 3 entirely different exposures.

I used both DeepSkyStacker and Adobe Photoshop Elements 9. Took several hours to accomplish the task. The DeepSky Stacker was used initially for the exposures taken with their respective instruments, then came the real problem, layers, aligning and blending in PE 9. It is not something I would recommended for the faint-hearted, lol. Got to have the patience of an oyster, he, he. Not sure if I would want to do it again. There are astronomical programs out there that will do the job much easier, but they are costly.
