Hi Jim, The gold was covered with Epoxy. That's why it has a shiny coating under 200+ mag.
200x magnification? Or is this a typo?

Thanks for the info on the flash. Was that the $54 model?
Polaroid Universal 48 Macro LED Ring Flash & Light Includes 4 Diffusers. I see it on eBay for $49.95 to $69.99

Sorry, 200x or more magnification, hence the +

An interesting subject and the photos came out well. I prefer the second photo. Catch rings are less noticeable and my eyeballs prefer the color. I do wonder what it would look like illuminated with a Speedlite and box diffuser. Lighting wouldn't be as even but it would get rid of the catch lights in the gold. I look forward to seeing more.

Is this viewing mag or photography mag? I have seen no images close to 200x magnification.

After Download, Viewing Magnification with the CTRL key and mouse Wheel to 200x. Around the edges of the gold area you can see the transition of stone to Epoxy. Someone did a very meticulous job.

This has been an interesting fun project. I will re photograph as you ask after the 49er game. I think they finally have someone they can beat handily.

I think the Raiders may be tired of losing. Looks like you have a game on your hands.
Good luck!

That's OK Oakland is my AFC back-up team.
You're a Bills Fan?
