I have been searching for a fujifilm digital that will do panorama pic's. I have found one second-hand; never bought a camera second-hand before. $80 is cost, It must be an older model because I can't find any info. on it. do ya'll know anything about this particular camera?

Hi Angie!
It sounds like you have found a very nice deal, with a couple considerations:
You'll be working with 3.1 Megapixels, which by today's standards is not alot. But it's not all that bad, either.
You ISO (light sensitivity) is limited to 200 or 400 (800, if you shoot at 1 Megapixel, you probably won't want to do that).
But for the money, you're doing okay, as long as you can get a battery for it, if needed.
Here's a link with some very detailed info on your Finepix:

I hope this is helpful to you!

Those cameras came out in "05" or "06" 5.1 mege pixels and a 10X zoom lens. That was considerd a "mega zoom" back in those days. If you want to read reviews about it, just type in "fujifilm finepix s5200 review" in your serch bar. Enjoy!

thank you for your help; I'm not convinced on this camera yet. I currently have a Nikon d60, I have made a couple of shots in panorama. I just want something that will handle it in-camera instead of having to "piece" it together.

Unless you already had it and liked it I'd say you're making a good decision to pass. The technology is old and slow compared to what's new today.

Look at a canon G9 or G10. I have a G10 and shoot panoramas all the time. It does a good job. Just learned to go to a blue print shot and buy paper that will hold the panoramas. The things you learn on the Ugly are real useful because folks here actually face those problems we all face and via experience have even solved some of them. Will wonders never cease!

I just checked out Fuji's website and that one isn't even listed in the discontinued or new list pages. Here is the site info so you can contact them to get some information on the camera specs. http://www.fujifilm.com/support

hope this helps.
