Don...I don't consider cropping to be significant p/p.
I agree Steve. cropping is just magnifying (or clarifying) the shot.
Pretty good. We're in the 70's but my friends in Utah have snow. You're up north aren't you? How are things there?
In Chicago, southwest corner of Lake Michigan,.. we are so over temps it is unbelievable.....the upper 60s the last few days. Most of the winter was over average temps.
Glad I bought a new snow-blower this year. Used it once. It'll be ready for next year(I hope).
Come up here some time. I'll show you around. Bring the wife(or girlfriend). We'll have a ball and I'll be glad to show you around Chicago. Its an awesome town.
Smelt season is coming up. The moon is always most clear then.

It is amazing what the exposure settings can do on a moon shot. I am still trying to get the perfect one myself. I liked the shot a lot. I see nothing wrong with PP cropping and adding a little light. Also I notice if I get the sun just after moonrise,(where I can see it) before it gets to dark, I have better luck. I liked the WB idea....
What I've found is that the moon always rises earlier (still a bit of light out) just prior to the actual full moon. Also I read that the best time to shoot a full moon is the day before or the day after the actual full moon because the moon is at an angle on those days versus having a flat look on the actual date of the full moon. Now since you've captured the moon try to go out and shoot a landscape using the moon for light and including it in the shot..........
Nice picture I read the advice on moon shots the other nite Guess i WILL have to follow them Thanks.

I'm thinking of buying the D3100 - how to you like it?
Could it just be Chi-Towns atmosphere?
Better than my moon shot. It was just a big bright dot in the sky.
