For Nikon mount. I had it on a watch list. Anyone out there know anything about this? Thanks in advance.

Sigma's website still shows the sport version available in Canon, Nikon and Sigma mounts. No mention on their "news" page.

There, is a B&H member on UHH. I believe his name is Herschel. Maybe he will see this post and respond.

Look at the email that sent it to you. You may have had your email account hacked and it was a phishing attempt. Do not open any links or respond to it.

Thanks for the heads up, but I'm a computer guy and did my due diligence. It's a real email.

One more thing, it was the Contemporary version of the lens that I was interested in. Maybe only the Sport model will be released for this one?

Go to the sigma-rumors.com site.
"This was caused by B&H assigning the wrong status to the lens (all mounts). It’s now back to “New item, not available yet” as it should".

As our corporate offices are closed today, I can't comment one way or the other as our Buyers are off today taking a well deserved rest from the frenzy of activity of the past month. Hope to have more info tomorrow..

A Happy and Peaceful Holiday to all of my friends here.

That is a great corporate policy! It is that sort of thing that causes me to respect B&H.

The corporate big wigs are off, but according to their website, the "Superstore" is open today from 10AM to 6PM EST. Yep, some great corporate policy - give the corporate big wigs the day off...

I got the same email from B&H yesterday since I had them watch both the Sport and C model.

I was able to get the Sport version almost immediately upon release from Robert's Camera in Indianapolis. Nice people to deal with and just down the road from Chicago. I hence cancelled my watch list for the Sport model with B&H.

MY REVIEW:I love the Sigma 150-600mm Sport model. It is Crystal clear through the entire focal range. Even at 600mm. I recommend it highly. The only apparent downfall is that it "IS" a heavy lens at 6.3 lbs. It's NOT exactly easy to hand hold, especially in windy conditions. Most shooters will need a mono/tripod.

I agree with Don on all counts. I ordered my Sigma from Roberts, a few days after he got his. Got mine in about a week. They were nice to deal with! As far as the lens goes, "It's a keeper!", at least from my limited testing. At 6+ lbs, a monopod will be very useful, when not on a tripod!
