4 image stack - 100mm Sony Macro .6 seconds f/8.0 ISO 100
I still need to work with live critters. Seems that they get very dusty quickly after death. Dry and dusty in AZ.
I have trouble sending large images as my Internet connection is Hughes Net Satellite.
Appreciate any comments, Randy

Since it's dead, why not wash it off and then go for a deeper stack?

Your exposure and technique look good. I do not see any focus banding. More stacks should be easy with this subject.

P.S. - Payson is in the middle of nowhere! You can probably shoot clean & dark star trails way out in the desert.

My gosh, we are going to see some very cool images from AZ. I think Douglass has a point about those beautiful stars that you can see. And snakes and scorpions and spiders too!
I'm in a place that isn't far from things, but I too suffer from having to use satellite - if you use PhotoShop, changing the mode to 8-bit will drastically reduce the image size without giving up much (I think) - and change the output to jpg as a final step. This can easily change a 50 meg image to 5 megs.
