Which is the best camera for a photographer for weddings etc.
My name is Vondean and I'm using a Canon T3 and I'm looking for something else that might be better.
Would be nice to know your budget. A ful framed slur would be my recommendation. Get the best your money can buy.
Jack
Well somewhere between $550 to $800.
If you can go just a little higher the Nikon D7100 might be a good bet.
Jack
Thanks Jack for you suggestion. Have a blessed evening.

IMHO if you have decent Canon lenses, stick with Canon. No sense starting over buying both camera & lenses too. If you don't have good lenses that's where you should put your money. Get lenses that will work with a full frame - then upgrade to a full frame when you can.

PS welcome to UHH.
You have Canon so stick with Canon.
Do you have decent lenses & flashes...back-up equipment?
Murphy comes to every pro shoot and he often brings his brother to crash weddings.

Since you mention photographing wedding(s) plural,I assume it's a business you want to get into. You will be severely limited to certain outdoor weddings if you don't have a full frame body and fast lenses. Having said that, of course you can rent the setup until you can afford to purchase.
Buying only a full frame, or only fast lenses only gets you half way there. The first time you have to shoot a wedding in a dark church where flash is not allowed, you will understand the need when you get home with a ton of underexposed shots, or shots with an amount of noise that can't be tolerated.
There is a reason wedding photographers charge a lot! They need very good equipment.
why not ask a wedding photographer what lenses they require ?
You'll end up with a 5d3...so just bite the bullet and write it off as a business expense, along with all the great glass to go with it. As capture48 said, wait until you have to shoot at ISO 256000 because you're not allowed to use a flash and then tell me that a rebel and slow glass is good enough.
