Is there any market for used film cameras? I have a couple of Canons (FTB and AE1) that I would not mind getting rid of since I am never going to use them again. I also have a couple of lenses for them.

If you look on ebay, you'll see that they're not selling for much.

That's what I thought. I guess I might as well keep them and just put them out for display with my antique cameras.

I bought several old cameras from ebay. Two of them are just like cameras I had in the old days, and they work. I plan on combining other oldies to make a table lamp or two.

Even a near new condition Nikon F5 sells for a pittance. You may consider donating them to a local community college camera class.

I tried that with the local high school - no interest. I also tried donating CRT monitors to the library - no interest.

I buy old lenses, pm me what you have maybe I can help you clean up your closet... as far as bodies go I have boxes of bodies, I don't think that they are worth very much.

You mean your "other" antique cameras.I've gotten quotes of $15 for my old film EOS cameras.

The value is likely low for the camera bodies, but there are still film fans out there.

A couple of years back I sold film cameras on eBay. Got some decent cash for them: Better than nothing. Had an old Olympus needle capture (mechanical means of setting aperture and speed)view-finder (not slr) camera purchased in 1970. Got $30 more for it than I paid! It had superior lens for its time. Our son took his film Nikon (F1?) to Japan and got a good price for it. You never know.

Put some film in them and use them.... I just got some film back from processing.. It's unbelievable how much quality has gone away IMHO digital photos are trash. There is no comparison it's just that nobody shoots film and are satisfied with gigital

Digital is the thing now, although it's funny that many post editing programs are really pushing the older analog "film look".
