Took this thing through a couple of programs. It's a real photograph actually taken with my iPhone. Does anybody think you can go overboard with post-production and is that the case here? (Think print on wall though.)

Vinnie, thanks for your emphatic (all caps!) libertarian response. It made me smile.! And of course it's all a matter of taste in the end. I'm actually not sure I'd put this on my wall (maybe in my office). The pic was taken from a video taken with my iPhone so it wasn't the greatest quality in the first place. I took it through program that "ages" your picture and turned it into sepia (nah!) and then B&W.
Don't know if anyone here is interested in this factual tidbit: this windmill is located in Soest, a small town not far from Utrecht (center of Holland). It's in a protected nature reserve called the Utrechtse Heuvelrug (the Utrecht ridge if you will). If you look real hard at the tree to the left you'll see a small fence. In that location, years ago, the remains of a kneeling male were found, the oldest human inhabitant connected to Holland. The gravesite is estimated to be at least 10,000 years old!
Anyway, it doesn't do anything for the pic, but it makes for an interesting tidbit at least!

I like it, it certainly looks like an old photo to me. :thumbup:

I would even consider adding some vignetting to it and see what that looks like. :wink:

The sepia tone looks way overdone though... And the light pole needs to go. :wink:

The only problem I see with this version is the street light.
They didn't look like that 100 years ago. Crop that out and you couldn't tell the age of this photo - very nice work from both however, very nice indeed.
