I watched the 2006 version of the movie and then the 1951.

Yes, it will shut down the USA one day. And of course the rest of the world. Solar flares and or EMPB.

No changes, and there will be no startups! :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:  :-o :(

Within 12-13 months we will be a 3rd world country?
The borders will be open for everyone?

Back to the stone age? And back to farming?

What are you smoking anyway? Are you taking your meds?
Last day that the Earth Stood Still was 9/11.

Is that Klingon or Esperanto? I need to study up for TEOTWAWKI. And make an axe handle.

Guess I'm not the only one that saw the 1951 movie in 1951. :)

PUNCTUATION IS PARAMOUNT.

"Gort" is the name of the ROBOT, so this command should be written as:

Gort,
Klaatu mirada nikto!!!

If you recall, there was a pause after addressing the robot. I saw the original movie when first released as well and on tv a few more times. I think the script will verify this punctuation.

Either way, it worked and saved our planet. Gort was getting ready to take us to the woodshed!

I've seen both versions also. Personally I prefer the 1951 version to the newer version, but I'm old.
