The moon was bright so I couldn't get the contrast that I can with a half moon shot. The half moon shows more shadows and detail.
I used my Canon 6D/Tamron 150-600mm lens at 600mm. Hand held shot.

Canon 6D - Tamron 150-600mm @ 600mm - 1/320 - f/6.3 - ISO @ 100
Canon 6D - Tamron 150-600mm @ 600mm - 1/320 - f/6....

Wow! I've never been able to catch a good moon shot. Amazing catch at hand held!

Thank you, letmedance. It's harder to get a good full moon shot than a half moon photo.

This shot should automatically get sent to anyone that asks if the Tamron 150-600mm is a good lens!

Thank you, WAKD. I heard the same thing when I posted this half-moon shot I posted about a month ago. (below)
Anyhow I agree with you that this Tamron 150-600mm is a good lens.

Regis,
I'm new, haven't been here for a month. You are right, this one is even more impressive.

you must be a rock! It is hard to believe that you can hand hold a 600mm and still be sharp.
You are better then my tripod.
great shot

I just take a number of photos and hope one turns out well. If I can take a steady shot at 70 years old, then anybody can do the same.
