GW,
If you think of this as a portrait and go by the 'focus on the eyes' rule, maybe not.

I am using a 20D and it took a while to discover that if I used autofocus the result was always backfocused. It took a big correction using debug mode options to resolve the issue. But step by step it DID get resolved.

First thing but not the most important is the formula for hand held shutter speed is 1/mm lens. You had lens set as 90 and speed as 1/30, so not fast enough.
Most important the ISO did not show. I wanted to recogmend setting the ISO hight to 400 or 800 and then the f stop tighter from f5.6 to f8 or f11. David
A flash could also help.

I have no idea what "debug mode" is...
5D Mark II has Micro Focus Adjust feature for up to 20 specific lenses. The user manual tells you how to use it and make adjustments... but it's easier with a software such as Reikan FoCal to test and evaluate each lens.
20D doesn't have MFA feature. If memory serves, the focus is adjusted with a screw inside the mirror box. But it's a single, gross adjustment that will apply to all lenses used on the camera and is something I'd leave to a professional repair tech, wouldn't try doing myself.

What was wrong with this one was some of the shims under the lens mount had fallen out so it has been hit and miss ...don't have my old alignment equipment any more... use to do this for a living...
