How to remove shadows form the face

Please help!!! I need to remove the shadows ASAP, tried the doge tool, the remove shadow on aperture and it is not working!!

Go into your photoshop program. Pick your paint brush, select the color of the skin. Set your opacity to 20-25% change (not sure what it's called) brush from normal to lighten. Make your brush size the size of the shadow on the face and click once or maybe twice. That should lighten up the shadow to look more like the rest of the face. Hope this helps and I explained it right.

Sorry, I just tried and there's not enough detail in the shadow to fix it.

so any other alternatives?? This sucks, what about lighting techniques to avoid this type of shadows in the first place?

Fill flash would easily have fixed this situation. With this kind of shot set everything up to expose based on the sky. With the flash you choose to use reduce its power level to about 1/3 normal power. This will fill in the shadows. To begin with seeing these lighting conditions I honestly wouldn't have even taken this shot.
