Terns fishing

I went to Honeymoon Beach in Dunedin, Fl and when the tide came in the terns started fishing. the way they fish is to dive right into the water. It is very hard to get a really good photo because they are so fast and dive at the tip of the hat.

The first one is awesome. Razor sharp and the attitude of the birds head makes for a great capture. I also like the splash.

Nice set. They really capture the fun of watching terns do their dive-bomb fishing.

Thanks for letting us know the lens, too. Always impressive.

I didn't even know Canons had hooks :)

I am a sucker for terns....watched one hover over the deck from North Sydney NS to Argentia, Nfld. They are very efficient fliers and cool to watch.
