What a beautiful dog. Love the pointy ears. Treasure your special memories with her.

You have my sympathies.
Our vet once told me that she believes God takes our pets when He does so that they don't have to watch us grow old.
She will be waiting for you at Heaven's Gate...

So many kind reply's, I am overwhelmed. I would like to reply to each and ever one of you but the loss is to close to the surface. These reply's will go into my Zelda folder and as long as I remember my little dog I will think of you kind people. Thank you. REJ.

So sorry for your loss of one of the best friends anyone can have in their lifetime. A person can have many friends but not many will give you the loyalty and love the you will get from a dog. I lost my best friend of 16 years "Buster" this May. I still think of him every day and hope to see him again. I still find myself cutting his little piece of sausage, toast and egg pushing it to the corner of my plate only to remember he's not waiting for me to finish and put it in his bowl. There's something about us "dog people" that when we lose one of our friends it's only time that turns the pain to warm memories. I've included another little poem that will hopefully help.
God Bless
When God had made the earth and sky,
The flowers and the trees,
He then made all the animals,
The fish, the birds and bees.
And when at last He'd finished,
Not one was quite the same,
God said, "I'll walk this earth of mine,
And give each one a name."
And so He traveled far and wide,
And everywhere He went,
A little creature followed Him,
Until its strength was spent.
When all were named upon the earth,
And in the sky and sea,
The little creature said, "Dear Lord,
There's not one left for me."
Kindly the Father said to him,
"I've left you to the end,
I've turned my own name back to front,
And call you DOG, my friend."

Sorry for your loss. We had to put ours down about 2 years ago. It is never easy.

My deepest condolences for your loss of a most precious, loved family member..
I have a cartoon of several dogs with the caption, "Heaven is where all the dogs you have ever owned meet you at the gate."

Very cool sentiment and REJ, we totally get it. We'll be here if/when you want to share more.
I'm sooo sorry for your loss, REJ. I've been there and know how it hurts our hearts to lose our wonderful furry friends.
