Preparing the P-51 "The Flying Dutchman" for shipment to Germany to it's new owner.

Steve Hinton Jr. driving the fork truck is the winner of the 2014 Reno Air Races flying the P-51 "VOODOO", Steve Hinton Sr, back to camera wearing black shirt with towel hanging from right back pocket.

Rob Patterson. Middle of picture holding fork truck, Flies the Corsair regularly for the planes of Fame Air Shows,
John Hinton, Partially hidden by the wing wearing shorts.

As an old aircraft design engineer I enjoy the pictures and seeing the innards. And to think the aircraft of its day were designed, built, tested and flown without an electronic computer. Only the computer that held their ears apart.

I know what you mean Wiley, I worked at Douglas Aircraft in the 60's and loved watching those planes being put together.
