Hi J tang

Take a look at Black Rapid they make a large line of products to suit most of the folks who need something better than the manufacturers camera original strap! Just go to Google and type in Black Rapid.

OEM camera straps are not very comfortable in use. What brand/model aftermarket have you tried and recommend? Please list pros/cons. Thank you!

check out peak design https://peakdesignltd.com/ I use this as a neck/sling strap and also have a wrist strap they are very easy on and off. With my big camera I also use a spyderpro belt and use the peakdesign as a safety sling with it..

and here is a link to the spyderpro holster/belt http://spiderholster.com/
this makes for a hands free really easy way to carry and have handy a larger heavier camera with a heavy lens on it. Peak design has a simliar capability too with the capture and capture pro systems that can attach and secure your camera to any belt, backpack strap etc..

I use the OPT TECH Pro Loop strap exclusively. They are comfortable, inexpensive, and well constructed. I have never had one fail...every new camera I get, gets a new strap! YMMV

I use a PacSafe strap when traveling abroad. It has locking clips and a wire through the strap that goes around the neck. It's very difficult for someone to steal the camera.

I also use the Cotton Carrier lite and regular. Very easy to carry the camera and easy to remove when needing to take pictures. Difficult for someone to steal.

Ditto the Nikon straps. Have one on each camera; have carried two cameras thus equipped simultaneously very comfortably.

I hope that wire running through the strap can't cut through your neck!

Not at all. It's enclosed in the strap. Was on a cruise to the Mediterranean with many stops. Used both the PacSafe strap and the Cotton Carrier.

My apologies for not making it clear that I was trying to be funny.

Another Peak Design user here...it works really well with my m4/3 gear...small and compact is my motto, and this keeps with that motto.

I have the Black Rapid Sport. Love it. It's on my camera 24/7. I got the left handed even though I'm right handed.

With the Black Rapid you better have a safety attached to where the strap was designed to attach.

A professional here lost his D-300 nikon, flash and lens. The tripod attachment was never made to support holding the camera up side down.

I will second the OP/TECH selection. Very high quality and their pricing is excellent. 8-)
