Diamonds are a traveler's best friend.

The ferry which takes people and vehicles back and forth between Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island has two bows and two sterns. The end which points to the destination is the bow. The end towards the starting shore is the stern. They are identical. Each is a triangle. Vehicles drive on board facing the destination.

The ferry goes from an hour's drive east of Charlottetown. The Confederation Bridge is an hour's drive west of Charlottetown and goes to New Brunswick.

Tomorrow I'll show and talk about the compositions that all came from this truck - another special find last week. Right now I can't even type straight. Here;s a rusted truck overgrown with trees and sitting just off the road on a rainy day, It was a real treasure and I "worked it" for the challenge. What geometric elements do you see? The truck is the subject

Oh my Pat, wish I was there to work that truck, well found

Really looks interesting now. All those verticle boards are simple ling rectangles and there is nothing to distract from the subject matter of the windows and doors. Maybe Heidi's Grandfather will come out the door with a couple goats!

Okay, I'm going to try this. I took these with my tablet, as I still don't have a desktop to download my Canon photos, so they aren't that great.

the middle lines were the subject, shadows framing those.

Very nice Monochrome Dane. Well composed, great subject for B&W, and it gives the viewer a feeling of wanting to know more. Well done. And it fits the challenge well.

PAT You know I took geometry 3 times in high school failed it every time.
Thanks to your's and everyone's nice examples I think I understand.

Bill, exactly! Great examples. Subject clear and so supported by the other shapes. and angles.

Here's my take on the challenge. Lights in the sky

Very different contributions, woodsliv. The light definitely divides the darkness into many shapes. I would never have thought about this approach.

Yes and you have rectangles going on the front lawn and on the wall. The steps taper towards church door almost like a triangle with "nipped" point. Nice job in every way.

Thanks for the comment Pat; and for making me take a second look at this image.
