In each of the photos in this group you see the subject surrounded by huge spaces, angles, light, and shapes, where the heaviness of the subject is counter balanced by the open area large enough to even the scales.
There are many ways to work a photo to make it more interesting; intriguing.

That's an excellent question, one that I think you'd know the answer to if you used Photoshop Elements 12.
It is a guide for people who do not know how to compose a photo or painting. Divide your surface into thirds. Put the focus on your subject either 1/3 from the right edge or left edge, making sure that your subject faces or leans toward the center of the photo.
It's a good rule to help beginners learn about composition, but there are other ways to compose a good "scene." What I have demonstrated by posting these photos is that the inverse of the two thirds rule works as well.
I hope you enjoyed the shots,

What you are referencing is the "Rule of Thirds", not a "two thirds rule".

Well I think you should take your meds before you go out to take photo's.

I guess it depends on how you look at it! Pun intended! :D (I do take my meds twice a day.)
Interesting and different perspective.

Makes you smile doesn't it! When I'm practicing my BIF's I get a lot of three thirds rule, nicest blue sky you ever saw. :-D

And all the Olympus shooters are blessed by their ability to use the Four Thirds Rule! ;-) ;-)

Picky, picky. I've heard it used both ways.

There are times I've had one too many and got five thirds.
