If one had a black it it was likely a juvenile as both sexes have white heads as adults. Keep at it and above all, have fun.

Your welcome. The best part was there was two of them.at first I thought male and female but now i'm thinking two males because I am sure one had a black head.

Rome was not built in a day. The fact that you were enthusiastic enough to post this first attempt is an indication to me that your passion for photography will soon reap fruitful rewards. Keep clicking.

Hi again, so the one that had a black head may have been a juvenile (bald eagle that has not reached full maturity). It takes around 5 years or so until a Bald Eagle truly becomes a Bald Eagle. We do not see many (if any) around the Bay Area, but I have been to Alaska on several occasions where they are as popular as pigeons in the lower 48. They truly are a beautiful bird.

They are beautiful aren't they. About six years ago I had one land in my yard. He had just taken a dead rabbit off of the road. I never even thought about taking his picture because I was lost in the beauty of him. I never saw him again.
