Community Colleges are best. Lynda.com provides a full tutorial at many levels. It is 25 dollars a month. You can signup for one month and plant yourself in front of the computer for days as you like and watch whenever you like.

Thanks Mark, I'll check the local jr. college and look at Lynda

There's also a very good forum I used to visit when I had problems.
Google elementsvillage.com.

Ok, first the disclaimer - I have been a user and teacher of Photoshop Elements since version 3. I also use PS including CC.

Sure there is a learning curve. Most of us did not come out of the womb with an ability to drive. Get over it!

I strongly recommend "Teach Yourself Visually Photoshop Elements 12." Unlike some books for dummies et al, this book does not waste words. Find the effect or enhancement you want and follow the PICTURES and click instructions.

Look inside the book on Amazon or you LBS. (I love this series of books on many computer subjects.)

As long as the package of LR/PSCC includes a complete and equal version of PSE I am all for it. However a 30 trial package did not include PSE 12'.

PSE is not a cloud product - perpetual license only

PSE 13 came out this morning and is ready for download. There is no $9.99 version. If you have PSE 9 you should be able to buy the upgrade for $79.95.

And if you're patient, you will likely be able to buy it from outlets like Costco, Sam's and others for $49.99 - and that before Christmas. Keep a close eye on the store's ads, and on the messages here on the Hog, as someone is bound to report.

Yup. I bought PSE 12 last year during the pre-Christmas sales when the price to buy outright was less than the upgrade price.

But I gotta ask, after reading about PSE 13, why?

Looks like they have added few, if any, advanced features, but have concentrated on going after the point and shoot and iPhone crowd, making it easier to interact with FaceBook/Twitter/Instagram.

Thanks, but I'll keep my hundred bucks and pass on this one.

There is only so much they will add to PSE. They can't let it compete with PS otherwise no one will bother with PS. Those who use PSE are missing some wonderful functions in Camera Raw not available on PSE.

That is one of the most sensible rational posts I have seen on the Hog for a very long time.

It is a shame you cannot get the disk. All I see is that the
monthly fee is a money maker. :-(
