no I never seen them again/but I am going to print the photo & take it to a center I know of. mabe thewill see it there
While one can play with the white balance and picture control on this (I'd like it warmer and more saturated) what do you base your "off" opinion on? How would you offer to help the photographer make a better pic?
To me it looks like what you get with most RAW photos where white balance adjustments haven't been made yet.
Anyhow here is what it looks like with Phtoshop Elements 10 "Adjust for skin tone" enhancement clicked on the girl's face. It does about what I was thinking above.

I changed the shadow and highlight setting in Photoshop for this image. The father now shows up better but it lightened the daughter a little too much. The second post I only lightened the father. Appreciate your thoughts.

Honestly, MtnMan's rendition is much better. Just sayin'.

Editing and the results are a personal preference and I approach it with tongue in cheek when I do it. I accept your comment.

Exactly, you have to take it lightly otherwise, why bother? I know this firsthand because I have posted some real crap on here that, at first, I thought was pretty good. Then I found out. Lol.
I really like what All of you have done. I have lightroom 3 but I am not very good with it yet
Love the shallow depth of field. Great composition, the innocence of the daughter and the protectiveness of the father.
