I'm liking this lens. To bad you have to wait for one. Looks impressive. I'm thinking maybe Santa may have one.

Does this monster come with a case like my Bigma? The adds don't mention one. If not what are you all using?

Ordered one on Wednesday picked it up on Thursday. Have to get a case and filters which are expensive. Berger Bros in Syosset, NY- the best. Call them if you want one.

This is what I use, holds lens attached to Nikon D610 with grip. lens hood reversed. Perfect fit. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/473160-REG/Tenba_631_813_LL300_II_Long_Lens.html

The good news is... I spoke with a fellow at Tamron yesterday and was told that a shipment went to dealers earlier this week and that larger and larger quantities, for Nikon, are coming! As I am next on the list, I'm hopeful. I'd be surprised if the lists at the big guys will be finishers, but don't hesitate to contact your smaller local dealer. I can't wait!

Yes, this is the case that I believe will accomodate a smaller metal hood being left on the lens in operating position and capping the hood - which is what I recommend ....

You can also check this case out at B & H....

I have one on my wish list so I can order it when my lens comes in. I've only been waiting since July 1st.

I found the bad boy at a place in Illinois called ABT- I ordered it last Friday 8/29 and they shipped it out on Tuesday 9/2- the guy in the big brown truck delivered it late today, a mere week after I ordered it. Their ad says 2-4 weeks wait time, so I'm thrilled that mine came in only a week!! Psyched to try it out in the morning!!

I have to assume that the local shops aren't selling them at B&H prices.

All that I spoke to were at the $ 1069 price. YMMV.

Does ABT offer a USA warranty? I don't see it on their site.

Thanks

I'll give them a call. I may call B & H to see if they have a clue on my shipping date first.

Thanks for the info!
