I'm not quite sure what I'm looking at here ...... but it was a marvelous display of texture and subtle color.

No idea what it is Bob but it looks good, made all the better by the lighting

Yep, I figured out that what I had was detritus, and probably not a fit subject for a photographer's camera. I should definitely have gone abstract on this one.

ABSTRACT, see Bob you are getting there, you are looking at things in a different light

Now go work it :-D

Thanks cmc. I found I had to disregard the architects of the tapestry, and just enjoy the subtle colors of their handiwork.

Well done. Very interesting shot. Now you're supposed to do all the trees in the neighborhood a favor and cut the infested branches from the tree and destroy the bagworms. It's a lot more fun to photograph them, I'm sure.

The overall configuration of some of the leaf sculptures reminded me of the exercise we just completed in the PP forum. I will probably revisit this structure, but in a completely different way simon.

Thanks much phlash. A most unusual subject, but it had the most intriguing color and conformation.

Thanks for your comments jmw. Had I known what I was shooting at the time I might have demurred at shooting it in the first place. Point well taken about eradicating the beasties.

Not quite so removed from reality as to be unrecognizable, but if you looked at this one first, you might be hard pressed to figure out what it is.
