Just saying it was "one big crock of shit" does nothing to enlighten us.

whenever conservatives want an excuse for holding down wages or getting more tax breaks, they whip out a film like that. they claim that the working man who joins a union or wants a bigger piece of the pie are threatning to bring down the system. that's the bull shit. it's the 97% that keeps the system going. it depends on them constantly spending. well they should have enough so that they can spend without going up to their ears in debt all the time. when THEY have their way workers have NO paid vacation, NO paid medical coverage, NO paid pension, NO paid overtime, and NO safety nets at work. hell look in the paper, THEY are cutting those things out every chance they get. now tell me how we are supposed to carry the economy, cover all those other things on the $10.00 or less per hourTHey think we deserve.

Thanks. I think that people should be paid more and given better benefits. Now the problem. CHINA.

The government is allowing things to be made in China and very little of no tariffs are being paid. So the american companies are at a disadvantage because they have to pay taxes and meet standards that the Chinese do not have to do.

Having said that we should pay our people more and stop importing things from China.
If people would stop buying stuff from China then they would stop importing it. So in the end it is the people that buy the stuff from China that are at fault (kinda).

If at all possible I do not buy stuff from China. It is junk.

that's the problem, you have the economy on one side and bussness on the other. they are now in conflict. bussness ,the banks, and the stock market are doing things that throw the economy off kelter. productivity of the workers is at an all time high, the results, fewer workers, lower and stagnent wages, jobs going over seas. people at the bottom who don't make enough to pay taxes, people in the middle paying high taxes, and people at the top paying lower or in some cases no taxes. they are hiding the money not putting it back into the economy. just because you can avoid taxes doesn't mean you should, especially when the rich have spent millions in washington getting those tax breaks. unless you are one of them, one day you will feel silly for having championed their cause.

The legal duty of corporation is to make as much money as possible for its investors. We need to change the corporate structure.

by legal means, but when you pay congress to pass tax laws that only work for a small group well the rest of us are getting the shaft. when making the "most" money means shipping hundreds of thousands of jobs overseas the country gets screwed. as for the money hidden overseas, the rank and file investors won't see a penny of that.

Shipping jobs overseas is legal.
Paying the lowest wages possible is legal.
Not giving benefits is legal.
We need to change the system.

Good corporations take care of their workers because they know that they are a important resource of income.

High Corporate taxes is what is sending Big Business over sea. If you can save more money in taxes overseas, why not. Capitalism is not about redistribution but about making money. When a Corporation can make more money then it pays out more in jobs. The more jobs then the more taxes are paid out. No Corporations, no taxes, no jobs, a bigger loss in taxes.

why do you guys keep spouting that bs about high corporate taxes???? with all the write off's and custom deductions, they pay accountants millions to find, they pay peanuts in taxes. I have asked accountants on this site to tell us about all the deductions the big boys get but we can't use. the corporations have been making huse profits for the last 30 years, but instead of wages going up as you say, they have been going down or staying then same. and that's with productivity at an all time high.

Bull, you can't see why Big Corporations are leaving the country <think Burger King going to Canada> . Have you also noticed that with each wage increase that the price of commodities go up as well. Strict regulations also come into play to sent jobs overseas and to keep wages down.
