Saleh Arouri, the former Hamas official who said Hamas killed the 3 teenagers, has been in exile from Gaza for at least 2 decades.
This article says he is the only person connected to Hamas who made the claim. Experts think he may be lying for personal gain.

But intelligence seems to be lacking as to their location.
Once they are located, all other areas are targets for destruction.
