Thank you - I almost didn't come home today! LOL - it was nice to be away.
Distillery for making bourbon! What KY is famous for - well, that bluegrass and our horses! I am trying to catch up on everyone's photos but I won't be commenting a lot so i can catch up. I just love the imagination everyone has and the ideas they
think of for these challenges![/quote]

Sdaupanner - loved your story yesterday and your mine doors today
Cornishpete - I like it - a lot
RR - simply elegant
mtclimbers - door #2 is gorgeous
p 9

Bday - well they all lead somewhere!
Osuzz - more winners
p10
marj - the composite picture is really cool
GG the donut doorÂ….clever shots
Peanut - think I like one and 3 - the lines. B/W works well on the fort. #2 has lots of lines going every which way. Good job getting the different angles/POV
Janice - welcome back, you were missed. Love the museum door
p11
Bev - especially like the yellow tower, the tree frog in the hollow and the stone and brick image that looks like a face with eyes. Very interesting police station.
Laska - feel better soon - I like last image the best
p12
Janice - thanks. So many were changing their Avs even several times a day, thought I would too :) Besides, had to try out my new tripod.

I will be posting 5 today, One at a time, cuz I guess yesterday's challenge hasnt worn off on me yet... Still reminiscing about my life.....Here goes....
The door of my childhood home. This picture was taken today, so it looks quite different than when I lived there... I feel that no matter where you are in life, you should never forget where you came from......
Don't know if I'll be back tonight. Have to go check out my new box of photo toys that came this afternoon.

This is the door of the home where I raised my children....So many memories there... I loved being there mother in that house. They started school, had sleepovers, scraped their knees, played and shared so much life there..... This is the home where I did the majority of growing into myself also......Their father still lives there....My daughter told him he is never allowed to sell it......
Here's a portal to a world upside down. Many times through this portal.
Ok, here is my doorway......
It's the doorway 2 "Somewhere in Time" :) I took this on my honeymoon with film camera, so I scanned the picture - which didn't really do anything 4 it but this place was awesome.
It was Mackinac Island. A beautiful, beautiful place. & where the movie "Somewhere in Time" was filmed. One of my favorite movies of all times! ;)

Oh Photogrl57...the bird condo was the best!
i went to the Fort as it is know by locals otherwise known as the Castillo De San Marcus...before work and played with a little black and white. The only door to the fort was over a moat...2 gates actually. The moat didn't have water in it unless was under siege by land.. then they flooded it. Domestic animals were placed there during times of sea attacks. It was built in the 1600's. i wish i had time to go to other venues and show other doors to other dimensions...well maybe next time! Has been a great day of photos!

Thank you PG57! (I didn't realize that the Grand Hotel was a real place til my mom told me her & dad were going there - so I knew that's where I was going on my honeymoon! Unfortunately, we didn't stay in the hotel - too pricey 4 my blood but I was so thrilled 2 walk in it & all over. Can't wait 2 go back & take more pics!) ;)
