Dragonflies like to stake-out a vantage point, and will return to a specific stem, over & over again, even after you spook them. If you 'freeze' when one flies-off, she may very well return to same stem. Just move slowly.

I have identified the shield bug it is a Graphosoma semipunctatum which is specific to Mediterranean areas. It is similar to Graphosoma Italicum.

Thanks Allen, it is a shield bug of the variety Graphosoma semipunctatum which is found only in the Mediterranean areas. I cannot find if it has a common name. They can be found mostly on Umbelliferaes and this is where I found them.
