Ms. Suzie decided she wanted those mealy worms i set out for the Bluebirds.
She made sure to take them all, and bent the dish over in doing so.
Fortunately- she did not have her fawns with her when she did this.
Such eating habits - ICK!

Those fawns sure grow fast!

Now, what in the world would make a mule doe think she needed mealy worms. Maybe you inadvertently bought the fried, chocolate-coated variety?? :D

You certainly would never expect any of these animals to eat meal worms. Extra protein? That's quite a story and nice shots, too.

I bet that was what it was. Had I known that- i would had kept them for myself..

Thanks Vicki- had I not seen it for myself, i would had never believed it in a million years.
I can't imagine eating those.

They are so curious and seem to check out everything. They
remind me of some of the colts that I have raised. They
want to get into every thing. Wonderful set thanks for sharing. mdh

i learn something new all of the time with the animals..
A while back i tossed out Popcorn i had not finished,for the birds and load and behold - one of the deer came in and ate that too.

well i am sure it would had been tasty on the first bite but the minute i would had saw what was inside - would of gave me cardiac arrest!
