B,

I felt the same way about Dubya. The less time he spent in the office the better for the country. With all his time off, he still managed to get us in a great deal of trouble.

It would be best for the US if he would spend all his time golfing and fiddling around in a foreign country, like his birth country.

She probably does but as you can see in this picture of her that by her attire we would never know what the "old white woman" is doing.

Mostly stay at home welfare females and the uneducated, their color I think had little to do with it. Their inspiration and aspirations in life was the controlling factor.

Yes but something warm can be recycled weekly which is far more than we can do with obama. Let the good stools roll on and recycle obama.

What if Obama was at the funeral? You'd complain about that saying you didn't want him there, how dare he be there, right? Admit it, every single one of you would. No, he should never be golfing, should he, he should be carrying the clubs not doing the golfing. Every one of you make me sick, a bunch of shriveled up old prunes who have never had any respect for this man. You cast yourselves as holier than thou yet spit on this man because he isn't like you. Then you wonder why you're in the minority party. Get used to it, it's going to be like that for a long time in the future, at least until you guys die off. You're all despicable. You pretend to love our country but you hate the president more than you care for this country. Shame on you.

Sorry, dlen, I am NOT despicable & I think just like the 1st few posters (except Art). you need to chill today… they are right..he has earned NO thats ZERO respect...

dljen..... in order to get respect one has to earn it.... You say that if he had gone, we?? would have complained about that... I really don't think so, but that is something that neither you or I know.

OTHER THAN BEING THE PRESIDENT...
Please list those things for which he should be respected...
if you do, I will answer with those things which I believe he has not earned respect for....

We can then compare notes..

Is it more important to attend a general's funeral than a private's funeral?

I was going to try and refrain from posting political threads but this really show the true character of POTUS. Instead of attending the funeral of the highest ranking member of the United Stares military killed in action since the Vietnam war, a two star general, he chose to play golf at a high end country club. We all know of his distain for the military but this was a real slap in the face by our Commander in Chief.

Sarge, if you have followed the post I already answered that question. The answer is no, it is not, that was not the point of this thread.

That being said, I must agreee with Donna. The office deserves respect regardless who is sitting in it. The man cannot do anything right in a lot of peoples eyes. That is absolute bullshit. When people show such disdain for OUR president, all they are doing is illustrating how small they are.
By the way, this is coming from one of those little ol shriveled up white guys (70) that Donna is refrerring to. I just want everyone to know that I DO NOT include myself in this group

Well, the challenge goes to you also…Lets hear what he has done right…another short list…I wouldnt start with the 18 trillion debt, or Benghazi, or Lois Lerner, or Holder, or the Mexican Gun fiasco..
or border security….you can find better places to start than those..

Maybe my point was not clear.. Point was if you expect the president of the united states to attend the funerals of a fallen office . why his and not the foot soldiers. Rank does not earn any more respect when dead than the enlisted man. And as far as the "deserter" again in this country we are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law . not the newspapers and the Fox New Show ..

Because a high ranking officer has earned respect and a lowlife deserter has not.

Why can't you tell the difference?

First off, I thank you for your service as well as that of your sons .. I also served in Vietnam as well, and later on with the CIA. My point was as re-explained, that the President does not always attend funerals for fallen solders. The point seemed to be, that because he was of rank then that meant more value that the president should have attended. Was not meat as any disrespect to you or your beliefs . You have yours and I have mine.

And I stay on my firm belief that a person is not guilty of a crime until the time he or she has been Proven to be true in a court of law. Not because news papers and tv news programs that are spewing "facts" not in evidence nor proven to be true. I believe we hold the rope until a guilty verdict is made and not before ..

Be well .

I started this thread and at no time did I say an officers life was worth more than an enlisted persons. I have two sons who served, one still serving, as enlisted personnel in the Navy. The war in Afghanistan was a result of 9/11 and was necessary, almost all agree. The Iraq war was based on best known intelligence at the time. Saddam had chemical weapons, he used them on the Kurds, and the CDC considers sarin gas to be a WMD. I am a disabled veteran from Vietnam, a war started by two Democrats that caused the deaths of over 58,000 American military personnel, ten times that of Iraq and Afghanistan together. I send a monthly allotment to the Disabled Veterans of America. What do you do.
I started this post because every other President since WWII would have been at the funeral. Obama is a disgrace to our flag and our military and it has nothing to do with his color.
