Taken with my new Lumix FZ70 - quite the zoom as this was at about 75 yards.

Nice capture KJ. Isn't that a great little camera. I can't wait for Mexican vacation in Tulum next month. I'll be putting it thru the tests.

Grate zoom, but it would have been nice to have focused on the deer and not the branches.
I am not know the FZ70 but Manual or Spot??

Enjoy Tullum! We went for an anniversary 5 years ago, and absolutely loved every minute. There are so many photo opportunities, you'll just love it. Be safe.

IA (auto focus) at so far, I don't think I was quite still enough; excitment of trying not to spook him. Just got it, so I'm still playing. Also offers RAW, but I'm still a long way from that...

Great shot and so nice to have a nice camera like that at hand and ready for the moment.

Not sure about your camera, but some do offer "Spot" metering and focusing. Others also allow the "spot" to be different sizes.

Nice shot KJ
I've had my FZ70 for about 6 weeks now.....and love it!
Have you noticed that the auto mode has the extended optical zoom to X120?
I should have read all of the posts first, it sounds like you are aware of that fact.

Just stepped outside and shot these real quick with mine.
Not sure how far the moon is, but the dove is about 50'.
Both shot handheld leaning on the truck @ X120

Thanks, Grey! I've had mine 2 weeks. Love the convenience of not having to haul around extra lenses.

Nice photo, KJ. Tulum? Here is the photo that brings back memories from my trip.... (the ruins are fascinating, though)

Did someone say "fish tacos"?
