I'm surprised that he didn't show the last step. That being, using an air compressor, hose, with the appropriate attachment, and blowing the water out of the camera/lens.

Wow, I would never put it in water. Nope, I use the dry method, 80 grit sandpaper.
Three years later the lens is still fogged, but it's clean.
The camera?
Well, it hasn't taken a bad picture since.
