You are getting there Sue! Keep practicing! Even go out and practice on traffic. It is difficult but so rewarding! I tried at a horse jumping competition and didn't have much luck. At first glance it is o.k. But when panning I have difficulty focusing in the right spot. Somehow I don't think the saddle should have been the focal point! LOL! I was aiming for the horses head!

Was out and about last night with Camera Club members and tried to get the canoeist using the panning technique. STILL not mastered this one but will keep trying.
pg 21 - I have been out there annoying the traffic (at first glance I think they believe I have a radar gun and will be sending them a ticket for speeding so they slow down which is NOT the idea!) and am almost getting there with them but wanted something different (and he was in a yellow kayak/canoe whatever it is called. Know what you mean about the focal point - my camera (me) struggles!

Thanks. It was nice to have my camera in hand while riding shotgun and able to jump out and take a few shots. If I'd been driving, wouldn't have got the camera out of the bag before they all landed. As it was, he was the last of 4 divers.
